Imivik of greenland
About
us
Every organ, every cell, is sustained by water.
Hydrating your body with water that nourishes is not just a spoiling routine but also a life-giving ritual. When nature shows off, it orchestrates a blend of factors that is impossible to replicate. The filtration of melting glacier water at Uunartuarsuk stands as testament.
Using nature's finest materials, the water is gently purified. Surrounded by pure and undisturbed Arctic conditions. Places close to our hearts where we grew up. Greenlandic shamans have long understood this, and for thousands of years, spiritual practitioners have been trained near the spring.
Their legacy propels us forward. We are Inuit from Kalaallit Nunaat and we share the ressources we possess. Uunartuarsuk is not just sacred arctic spring water but also a sincere intention to donate water from Greenland to those in need. IMI is synonymous with WATER in greenlandic. The simplest and most basic way to say it.
Our belief
We believe that by unlocking the potential of water,
we can transform our way of life for the better.
“It’s hard to put the drinking experience into words.
Thomas løhren busch
It’s truly sensational.”
Tales of
Angakkussarfik
Angakkussarfik is an area on Disko Island near the Uunartuarsuk Spring. The name translates to "a place where aspiring shamans are trained.”
The Spring was revered even in ancient times, and the tales suggest that the purity of the spring and its ability to remain unfrozen even during the harshest winters, has been a determining factor in establishing Angakkussarfik.
These natural wonders have long attracted shamans, and Angakkussarfik continues to be regarded as a sacred site.
THE TEAM
Experienced
& Devoted
We, the people behind Imivik of Greenland, are a blend of Danish and Inuit heritage.
United by science and purpose, we share a common ambition. To introduce the Uunartuarsuk Spring to those who recognize the potential of balancing body and mind with ultra-clean, soft Arctic spring water.
OUR GREENLANDIC CONNECTION
Inuit
at Heart
For thousands of years Inuit has outlasted the harsh arctic by sharing the resources. By distributing the daily catch, everyone in the communities would not only survive but also prosper.
The Inuit approach to nature and utilization of the resources has always been rooted in a deep connection to something greater. With respect for our Inuit heritage, we only take from what is already there, and we support the local community on Disko Island by sharing the value we create.
